The Lamont Health and Wellness Center provides health care and counseling services for students right on campus. The center is open daily for walk-ins and scheduled appointments.
Registered nurses are on duty day and night. Physicians and counselors are on-call for emergencies 24/7. The center houses 23 beds for students requiring overnight care.
Students can meet with anyone in Health Services, as frequently as needed, to discuss and treat any physical or mental health questions or concerns they have.
Meet Dr. Derek Trapasso
Dr. Derek Trapasso is the Academy’s medical director. Dr. Trapasso joined Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2024 after most recently working as the director of the Massachusetts General for Children Hospitalist Programs at Â鶹´«Ã½ and Wentworth-Douglass hospitals. He has over 20 years of experience in general pediatrics as well as pediatric hospitalist and emergency medicine.
